I think the theme of Spring is $hi+.

It's everywhere, it smells, and it's growing fungus.

I smell so good

Saturday, November 29, 2003

It felt like the perfect trip.
-------------------------------
New York City was amazing.  I can actually imagine myself living/working there.  It has everything you need: superb transportation, amazingly organized streets, and an abundance of places to eat.

It's a very pretty city, and although there are some ulgier parts of town, it doesn't strike me as terrible or anything.  The smell is ok when compared to taiwan's streets.  The city is not that crowded and the people are not that rude.  Traffic is okay; i'm sure there are places with worse traffic.  The only problem is that it's so expensive.  Basically, New York City isn't as bad as I imagine, making it very livable.  Makes me wonder what it would be like if I choose NYU instead of CMU.

Columbia is... simply massive.  And it was a joy to see Yuan again.  She is certainly living a happy and healthy life.

It was great to see Chris Iraha again.  It's amazing that he came all the wang from DePaul U.  Unlike some lazy people like Matt U.

Thanks Iraha for the sneak peek of FFXI and generously passing out candy and being cool.

Thanks, Yuan, for letting us stay in your room and showing us around.

Thanks everyone for sticking around (Karaoke) with my New York friend late in the night too.

The majority of our pictures were taken in NYC; since i am too lazy, you'll find them at alan's site most likely.

--------------------------------------------------

Getting to Boston to meet with da mokes was great.  Eating da kine turk'y with potes made me schmall kine nostalgic.

haha, one and a half hour of link tag was fun, but memorable.

It was great seeing everybody.

Thanks Ravi for your lounge, and your Massive-ness, and The Family Guy.

Thank you Mandy and Adam for picking us up.

------------------------------------------------------

Then we got back in time to enjoy the last 2 days of thanksgiving.  We did the dragon dance during the pittsburgh fall festival parade.  I think it turned out nicely, though sadly we weren't in the shift where you get to be on t.v.  But it was a happy ending.

Thank you everybody for being a part of my life.

Finally, the travel plans are all set.  We will be visiting New York first (and yuan!).  Then thursday, we meet with the other mokes at boston.  Can't wait to try some homemade Thanksgiving!

I am excited.

The semester is almost over.

The ideal plan for thankgiving:  A trip to Boston AND New York.  I want to see the parade on Thursday, in New York.  That will be nice.

----------------------------------------------

Many of you think that the major I am going for is Chemical Engineering.  In actuality, I put down Biomedical Engineering as my first choice major.  However, I tried out Chemical Engineering and found it enjoyable in some ways.  I've decided I want to double major in Biomedical and Chemical Engineering in four years.  It can be done, and I hear it's easy too.  So count on me to make artificial heart pumps, skin, arms, livers, kidneys etc. for you all.

I will try my very best to work study chinese.  I might end up working in China ^ ^

Random courses I am interested in: Psychology, Space/Astronomy . . . college offers so many opportunites.

And ideally, I want to study Business in the future, perhaps grad school.

Yea, I pretty much have a layout of my future studies and goals.  How about you guys?

------------------------------------

I got an A- on my English paper, thanks to alan wu.  so matt U are you impressed? Hehe.. k my grammer still sucks big dotes.

------------------------------------

So now life is so random now.  I would look at squirrels and notice that they like to put their head into the dirt and eat nuts.  Seeing them gnawing on nuts makes me realize how I am hungry at times and need to go to the O to get another chicken burger with cheese whiz on the side.  But going there at 1 am is bad because by then the cheese whiz is sticky enough to adhere wangs on ceilings (like hotdogs, and other meats that they sell at the O).

Now I smell like vinegar because today my chem E group potes and I tried to test run a cart fueled on acetic acid.  6 out of 9 runs were failures.  But after figuring out that it's better to just bust the massive rather then using little funnels to fuel the cart, we just simply became massive.

We are pretty much set in our room:
An Air con
A TV
A Printer
HOT POTe (illegal)
A fridge/freezer
Supplies of snacks
Comp with speakers
Xbox
Game Cube

and coming sooon.... PS2

---------------------------------
For Halo'ers

Our Dorm is pretty good at Halo.  We played a bunch of dirty moke Juniors who uses a huge wide screen tv.  Since we can just stick the cat 5 into the wall, it was easy to connect and play.  Well, it turns out that we smacked them, double tank at each entrance and the wang-it launcher for each passenger.  Carnage ensues, and the flag is ours.

---------------------------------

Hm.. i miss you guys.
